Outback Divine Layout Tutorial

Uniquely Creative have recently released a beautiful paper craft collection called Outback Divine. It's full of wonderful Australian flora and fauna like koalas, possums and emus, bottlebrush, waratahs and gum leaves!
I am part of a great Design Team creating projects using this Australiana collection.
Today, I'd like to share a tutorial showing how I created this 12"x12" layout. I think my favourite paper in the range is called Splendid - here is what it looks like. The colours and design is what caught my eye!

To start my layout, I used a 12"x12" sheet of Bazzill Marshmallow yardstick and covered it with a layer of clear gesso as I wanted to create a background using watercolour paints. The watercolour set is from Gansai Tambi. I played a bit to colour match as best I could.
Next, using the Splendid paper as my inspiration, I watercolored the background and once dry, I draw sketchy shapes with gold sparkle pen and a gold ink pen. I had some watercolour left over so added some splatters!

Using the gum leaf slim line die from the kit, I cut 2 dies and watercoloured them using a mixture of greens and browns.
Now it was time to audition some Creative Cuts, leaves and flowers (I did some fussy cutting and I also used my Brother Scan and Cut CM350 to cut pieces out). Once I was happy with the placement, I used white glue and foam dots to stick everything down.
I painted the wooden 'divine' title using a gold sparkle pen and added some wooden leaves to the layout.

To finish my layout, I added some gold bling and paper flowers.
