Have you ever read a quote and thought, "Wow, I really needed to hear that?
Well, I found one this morning that was so perfect, I had to pass it on to you.
Recently, I restarted my daily meditation practice - I had let my practice lapse and I sure did miss it.
Meditation helps me focus, calms my mind and sets me up for a better day.
Is it easy? No, most of the time my mind still wanders off on tangents, I can be restless at the start, some days I don't want to do it and at that time is when I need meditation the most!
It's not perfect, that's why it's called "practice".
I use an app called CALM - 10 minutes in the morning with Tamara Levitt
Not only does the paid app have meditations for many situations e.g. stress, work, inner peace, focus, relationships, etc, there are also Sleep Stories including stories for kids, Music, Masterclasses, and lots more.
The sleep stories are a favourite of mine and I can drift off to sleep easily and I often don't hear the end of the story.
Many well known people have contributed to these stories. Some of my favourites are: Stephen Fry, Alan Skylar, Erik Braa, Jerome Flynn, Tamara Levitt, Levar Burton, Matthew McConaughey
My favourite music on Calm is piano or guitar pieces.
