Today was the day!
Hi, it was an exciting day today. I met two of my favourite You Tubers Steven and Walter all the way from Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. Lovely gentlemen!
They are in Australia on holiday and have traveled from Melbourne to Adelaide and will head to Perth later this week.
My friend, Sandi and I met them in town and drove to Semaphore for coffee and cake.
We had a lovely morning getting to know each other in person not just chatting on line.
Next time they visit we have promised them an Aussie BBQ!
In My Happy Place...
It's been a busy few weeks getting back to my job (yes, at least it pays the bills, puts food on the table and supports my crafty habit).
Here's some of the things I've been working on over the past few weeks.
I had watched Tim Holtz at Creativation use the Distress Oxides on gloss card stock and then Tim used a blending tool and Micro Glaze to bring out the colours and seal the surface. I love the effect.
I participated in a card class with some friends using stamp sets from Stampin' Up. Such cute little puppies and cats. We used Stampin' Up markers to colour.
The bottom two pictures are some practise pieces using techniques I'm learning from Bob Burridge (You Tube: BobBlasts) I'm learning to love just playing with acrylic paints and not worrying (too much) about the outcome. Bob's videos are usually short but lots of fun! He has also developed an app with his take on the colour wheel. Check it out! It's called BurridgeStudio.
Have a creative and inspiring week.
