Enjoying the school holidays...

Hello, have you heard about Wanderlust 2018?

It's a year long journey in mixed media. Check out my Wanderlust 2018 page for more information. It will be an exciting year in my art journey!

My new craft room, possibly, my second home is fabulous. I can start a project and if not finished I can just walk away and shut the door until tomorrow or the next day.

Usually, summer in Adelaide is stinking hot but we have been lucky to have had only a few really hot days and lots of lovely 24C-25C in between. Thank goodness for air conditioners!

Here's what I've been working on this past week or so.

First is a 6" x 4" tunnel card using Graphic 45's Fairie Dust paper collection. I found this great card design by Clare Charvill (My Creative Spirit).

Clare is a talented paper crafter and loves Graphic 45 as I do.

This card folds down and can fit in a normal sized envelope.

Check out her web site and on line store at:

and You Tube channel:

I'm so grateful for people who share their talents so freely.

If you want to learn ANYTHING You Tube is a great resource!

Thanks, Clare!

Next is a canvas I've created using Uniquely Creative's Mermaid Kisses Stamp and Colour kit. (There's a link to the on line shop on my home page).

So much fun - I found a canvas that I had started. Just some found items stuck down and covered with gesso. I used acrylic paint to create the background and left that to dry. I stamped and coloured the images using Copics and fussy cut them all out. This part I don't enjoy!

I then added the sand which comes in the kit. To make the coral I used the dies and some Gelli Plate prints I had lying around. I added the images glueing them down with 3D Gloss gel die cut the waves and stamped the sentiment. I finished the canvas with sequins (also in the kit) and used Wink of Stella clear pen to add some sparkle. That doesn't really show up in the photo. some of the fish in the background I stamped with Archival black ink.
