Beautiful Sundays...
It has been a glorious day here in Adelaide! Warm, blue skies, birds singing...
I took a short trip to Spotlight to purchase a new paper trimmer. Well, as it happens, they were having a sale which ends today. Came away with 2 packs of large canvases for $20, some velcro dots, double sided tape (you never can have enough) and my trimmer. I saved $22 dollars on the trimmer, too. Happy dance!
I'm going to challenge myself to do some large canvas art work this year. I'll keep you posted.
Today, I continued to create another scrapbook layout from the January kit (Uniquely Creative). I chose a great picture of my youngest son, Thomas. What do you think?
Wow! Have you seen the new Distress Oxide inks from Ranger and Tim Holtz?
The ink is a blend of pigment ink and dye ink so you get the versatility of dye ink AND the opaqueness of pigment ink!
Here's a couple of sample birthday cards I have made today.
The finish feels like chalk/ suede but once dry does not rub off. I've used a stencil and the ink on top of my layers. Lots more play to come.
