Where has this year gone and other stories...

Hello! As I get older, I am finding the years just zoom by and 2019 is no different!

Do you find that, too?

I reckon it's because life is so fast-paced now especially if you work, have a family and hobbies!

Don't get me wrong - I'm certainly not complaining...I work 4 days per week with primary-aged students, a job which I love, helping improve their Literacy skills. I have a fantastic family - husband, John, 2 fantastic adult boys and a lovely daughter-in-law. The best friends anyone could have who share my love of paper craft. I love spending time with them all.

I'd just like to get off the merry-go-round sometimes and stop and smell the roses.

This is where mindfulness and meditation kicks in. I must admit I have lapsed over the past few months and one of my goals is to step back into meditating everyday even if it's for 10 minutes. I love an app called Calm which offers a lot of different ways to meditate and also has sleep stories which can help if you suffer from insomnia. Check it out - you just might benefit from it, too.

I'd like to finish this year by sharing some of my latest art work from My Happy Place.

I have enjoyed card making, scrapbooking, off the page paper crafts, art journaling...

My most favourite creative passion at the moment is painting canvases using mixed

The definition of mixed media is: if you use 2 or more different mediums then BAM you have mixed media!

Here's a selection of my latest creations.

I've become a bit obsessed with faces now. Finding my inspiration from Karen Campbell, Jane Davenport, Dina Wakley and other fantastic artists.

I'd like to wish all my blog readers a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year. I am on holidays until the middle of January 2020 and you'll find me in My Happy Place during this time! lol

Signing off until 2020!

Love from

Ngaire xo
